MENTORSHIP & CERTIFICATION
Learn how to teach yoga to children or expand your existing Kids Yoga teaching skillset by working directly with me — the founder and director of Seattle Kids Yoga. This in-person, 25-hour program features a flexible start and scheduling option, and is open to individuals in the Seattle area with a yoga and/or education background. This program includes:
Observation + Participation — The opportunity to observe Kids Yoga classes taught by Nicole. Seattle Kids Yoga classes are held at schools throughout the Seattle area.
Curriculum — Teaching tips, including behavior management, simple and effective accommodations for kids of all abilities, and how to make classes educational and enjoyable; Themes and lesson planning; List of tried and true Yoga props, music, games and books; Homework assignments and online resources.
Lesson Planning + Teaching — When you’re ready, the chance to use your new Kids Yoga skills to teach yourself, starting with a pose or 2 and progressing towards teaching an entire class!
During the program – In-person feedback, post-class debrief and Q&A, consulting and planning time with Nicole to give participants the skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully teach yoga to children.
After the program – Individuals who complete the program can apply to teach Seattle Kids Yoga classes.

COACHING & CONSULTATION
Not in the Seattle area, looking to grow your business, need coaching to fine tune your skills, or have questions about bringing yoga into children’s lives? Nicole offers phone and video coaching and consultations for Kids Yoga teachers, OTs, PTs, SLPs, educators, and parents and caregivers. Drawing from her many years of teaching yoga to children, working as an occupational therapist and running a business, Nicole will work with you to design a program that fits your needs and interests. Focuses include:
For Kids Yoga teachers — How to make classes fun and educational; Behavior management support; Building and marketing classes, summer camps and other offerings; Growing beyond classes and establishing an area of expertise.
For therapists + Educators — The benefits of yoga for kids of all abilities; Integrating yoga into therapy sessions; Incorporating yoga and mindfulness breaks into the school day; Choosing appropriate, beneficial and fun yoga poses, breathing exercises, mindfulness activities and more; Getting buy-in from administrators, directors, and parents.
For parents + Caregivers — Simple and effective home programs; Yoga and mindfulness for sensory processing, behavioral needs and school performance; Choosing appropriate, beneficial and FUN yoga props and resources.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Teacher and school staff in-services with practical takeaway and self-care components that are easy to implement in the school environments and everyday life.
Workshops for educators, parent groups, therapists and pediatric professionals on topics such as how to bring yoga and mindfulness activities into the classroom or therapy clinic.
Speaking engagements on a variety of topics, including “Yoga and Mindfulness for Children of all Abilities” and “Yoga and Mindfulness in the Classroom.”
